A favourite local spot to start or finish your river trip is less than 1 km away and the back eddy provides a safe place to jump into the cold water. It's also a great spot for watching the annual Yukon River Quest competitors paddle by.

25 minutes from Whitehorse city centre and Erik Nielsen Airport.
15 minutes from Eclipse Nordic Hotsprings, Bean North Coffee Roaster and Café in the Woods, the Yukon Wildlife Preserve and nearby Research and Forest Preserve which has great marked hikes.
Takhini gas at the corner of the North Klondike Highway and Takhini Hotsprings Road is a favourite local stop that is 12 km away. It supplies petrol, carries snacks, essentials, locally baked goods, and off sales alcohol.
If you want to head to Whitehorse for some Yukon arts, culture, dining, shopping and recreational facilities, it is a 25 minute drive. 29 km/18 miles, far enough away from the city lights to see the northern lights.

Land Haus Retreat is situated on 40 hectares surrounded by boreal forest, pasture with native flora, walking trails and of course, the river. You can explore the native flora, watch for eagles, the local beavers, trumpeter swans, and other wildlife. Fortunately footprints is all we typically see of the bigger animals! The walks, the campfires, jumping in the river, the mountain vistas, variety of plants and mushrooms, berry picking, fishing, picnicking, the golden hours, are all unforgettable. Every moment here is an opportunity for rejuvenation and renewal.
